Thursday, April 20 last, Willem Bentinck was appointed chairman of the national professional organisation of all registered pilots by the members' meeting of the Dutch Maritime Pilots’ Corporation. He succeeds Joost Mulder who has held the position for the past 7 years. Willem is a registered pilot in the Amsterdam-IJmond region and was previously - among other things – Managing Director of Dutch Pilotage Service Organisation. 

The handover took place this morning at the Berghaven (Hoek van Holland) by handing over the gavel. As of today, Joost will be working full-time again as a registered pilot in the Rotterdam-Rijnmond region.

* All Dutch registered pilots are members of the Dutch Maritim Pilots’ Corporation (NLc) and are registered in the pilot register. The NLc consists of three bodies: the chairman, the general council and the assembly of members.
